“Peaceful but Grand” by Bronson Farr

Artist’s Statement

This photograph is the key image for my project “Peaceful but Grand”, a series I started in 2020 in response to the Black Lives Matter protests across America.

I wish everyone could see what I see when I look at Black men. Tenderness, strength, vulnerability, poise.
